Jakkid166 is a fanfiction author who used to primarily write Ace Attorney-based fanfiction, and now focuses more on stories featuring his self-insert, Detective Jakkid166. He claims to originate from Los Angeles, California, in Ace Attorney World and writes stories about the various happenings both there and in various other worlds.

Jakkid166 himself is overall shrouded in mystery, never really posting much about anything surrounding himself aside from as his Detective persona. As jakkid166 fully operates under this persona, and claims all his stories to be completely true, not much of note has ever been revealed about the author himself as a person. It is apparent through his stories, however, that he is a fan of the Ace Attorney franchise, and seemingly My Little Pony as well, though his knowledge of the latter seems limited outside of the most-known settings and characters, consistently resorting to making up his own lore and locations to make up for it.
He has also been shown to be a fan of music artists such as David Bowie, Billy Joel, and DEVO, along with action movies such as John Wick, as made evident by him often choosing to insert references to them in his writing.
In the interview given by the Royal Canterlot Library on FIMFiction, jakkid states that he was inspired to become a detective due to the death of his father, jakdad166, who was stabbed and died of a tetanus infection (and also the stab wound) as a result. It is unknown how true this actually is, however.
History[]
Jakkid first appeared on Fanfiction.net on August 17, 2015, with the story Phoenix Wright SPEED Attorney. While his story did not gain much traction at first, he enjoyed a small amount of views when his story was posted in the Ace Attorney Sporking Thread on Court Records. The same situation happened with his second story, Phoenix Wright MUSHROOM Attorney. However, his first real surge in popularity came when his third story, Phoenix Wright Ace Christian, was made into a fan video by someone who had noticed his fanfictions in the sporking thread. After this and some of his subsequent stories were posted on reddit, jakkid gained a small following and ended up inspiring other authors to write in a similar style as him, such as barrylawn, icantyping, and acejakkidfan.
After something of a hiatus, jakkid later popped up on FIMFiction.net with the story Detective Jakkid166 go equestria now, which kickstarted an entirely new era for jakkid that brought him new recognition and success beyond what he'd had previously. These stories are often considered to be jakkid's best work and have been cited by some as one of the best examples of "trollfic" on the internet.
While his early stories mainly focused on nonsensical storylines, dialogue and a surplus of typos, later stories introduced a more absurdist brand of humor disguised as being "poorly-written" and essentially being funny at any cost, using the poor grammar and inconsistent logic to elevate the story's jokes in a way that couldn't be done in a traditionally-written format.
